Merry Christmas!!!

I didn't have addresses for all of you, so if you didn't get a card... here's a couple virtual ones.

And if you want to be on the list for next year, shoot me an email.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season! *smooch*

One holiday that not a lot of us celebrate, I've been learning a bit about. The Solstice. Here's what one woman an my crafty board had to say about how she celebrates Solstice...

Yule is the beginning of the next turn of the wheel for me and so my ritual incorporates this feeling of beginning anew. I spend time meditating beforehand on what new things I want to bring into my life through education or experience and envision ways to do this.To honor the fact that the night of the solstice is the longest night of the year, I enjoy sitting in my house with all aritificial light sources extinguished while I do my meditation. When I am ready to proceed to the next step of actually writing down what my "resolutions" are, I turn on a soft light. This year I plan on using my tree. Then I make an amulet that contains my written down plans along with other special pieces that make it personal to me.

In case you're not sure "who" celebrates Yule and the Solstice, it's mainly Wiccans or Pagans. It's very interesting to read of all the symbols and rituals that began as Pagan and then were adopted by the church as their own.

So whatever YOU celebrate! Happy Holidays to you all. *smooch*

*smooch* Thanks so much to my little blonde cookie maker.

I hope everyone is receiving their cookies now too, it seems that you are. I was swamped at work yesterday... but the couple of blogs I read, seemed to be receiving cookies. Yay cookies!!!

Update for Momma

OK, something happened so now I can blog. Happy? *grin*

I had to run to Walmart to return some items and pick up a Wii game for DD. Long line at the return counter, that's too be expected. No big deal.

I go back to the video game counter and wait.... and wait... a gentlemen with a video in his hand comes up to counter he also waits... and we're both scanning the aisles for the people that are supposed to be at the counter. Ahah! One comes around the corner and the gentleman (in a fun happy voice) says "Hi! You got some customers over here" Seriously, he said it with a smile and was very pleasant. The worker says to him and me "I'm not the only one working around here."

I'll let that sink in for a moment.

She said to us, customers waiting at the register... "I'm not the only one working around here."

I swear my jaw hit the ground. The gentleman was speechless. I finally recovered and said to her "Well you're the only one we've seen around here. Could you help us?"

Unfrickingbelievable!!!!

Funny Mail

*snort* I got mine last night. In the mail was an envelope inside another envelope, the outside envelope was from the Post Office. The inside envelope was a little worse for wear, and they apologized for it on the outside envelope. *grin* Did ya get all that? So I can't read the postmark to even get a clue as to where it came from. But! *snort* Somebody laminated a pic of my hubby and stuck him on a stick. *snort* I love it!
