Pandora Radio

I added a new app to my addiction down there. *points* It's Pandora Radio, but guess what? You can listen and use it online too. It's free!

How it works. You type in an artist, song or genre and it builds a radio station based on that. You can rate the songs it comes up with with a thumbs down or up (that helps the server choose the next songs). The only thing is, you can only skip so many songs an hour. But it's free. Free music on your computer anywhere.

Oh and you can shuffle between your personal radio stations too.

Check it out.

But I have iTunes. Isn't it sort of the same?

You had to pay for the music on iTunes. Pandora is free.

That sounds very cool. I'll check that out. I guess I probably wouldn't listen to it all that much though since I have my sirius.

Glow, the other day when I logged into Sirius online it said that they were going to start charging peeps to use it (unless you are a lifetime subscriber). Have you read anything about that?

I think tomorrow will determine a lot about Sirius. They are expected to file Bankruptcy tomorrow unless some miracle comes along. *sigh* Michelle is sooooo screwed. She has already lost over $15grand in their stock. Their week high was $.11. Not good.

They were one of the companies listed to go under this year. We'll see what happens with my lifetime subscription. *sigh*

I tried this a few years ago because it sounded like a cool way to "discover" new bands I wasn't listening to. However, it turns out I'm just not a music listener at work. Who knew?

Pandora is good. I prefer AccuRadio. You can build your own station.

Haven't tried that one yet. Scott here at work uses another one... I can't remember the name. Smash?something? I'll have to ask him.

AccuRadio has a channel called "A Flock of Eighties" that you would love. And then they have sub channels, so you can listen to 80's music but leave out the metal or just listen to new wave.

Hey, what's that on the left. You start a thread about it or something. :)

Love Pandora. And love that it's free.
