Heh, I got an email a couple weeks ago from P. He was trying to plan a party for my old friend K (his wife) for her 40th. He finally has sort of a plan *rolls eyes*. But anyway, I'm planning on going and am not sure what to get her. I haven't seen her in over a year (last time was for my birthday last year). I have no clue what she's into anymore.
So any ideas? What should I throw into a birthday bag?

How's this for the necklace?
Poop the pic is blurry. *sigh*

I think you should make her some pretty jewelry. A necklace and bracelet. And put it in a cute little stamped box.
I agree with momma.
*sigh* really?
Yes really!!! Your jewelry is gorgeous. And what woman doesn't like jewelry?
I like the handmade jewelry idea, too. It's personal and classy.
The old standby would be a $40 gift card, but that's kinda boring.
I agree with your personal homemade jewelry in a personalized box, or perhaps in something else personalized...maybe put the jewelry in a coffee mug with her name on it.
Since I have no idea who P and K are, I'm going to go with Momma as well.
Oh! I had another idea! You could make them some of your tequila slush and give her a couple cute glasses to drink out of.
K is married to P? *confused*
The home made jewelery sounds nice. You make perty stuff.
I assume this isn't ex-P?!?!
I love momma's idea of the slush and glasses. Maybe some fancy chips and salsa, too...something gourmetish...or a salsa/dip mix with the mexican theme.
Ack! Give away slush? You crazy people!
Karla and Paul, ya dorks. I used to hang out all the time with Karla way back when.
I think I'm going to make a necklace and then add some old people stuff to the bag... like Metamucil. So Carey? Nookie? What do old people need? *grin*
LOL that we thought it was ex-P.
Duh, you have to ask? Depends, of course.
*WHACK*
*ignores midget*
Bifocals.
Maybe if you made us some slush, we'd think of better ideas.
Dave got "Over 50" Vitamins for his birthday. *giggle*
Should I send the pigs down to you?
That looks cute....too bad it's blurry.
Go to a party supply type store - they always have tons of gag gifts for the Over The Hill birthdays.
*sits with Nookie*
That's who I thought P was as well.
And speaking of slush and glasses, I went to Target yesterday to get some things, and I stumbled across the cutest little somethings that I will be using in Coco's Christmas Cookie Exchange.
Woo Hoo!
Very cool. I still wear my football one every Sunday. :)
Very wearable and likable, Breezy.
Ack-Boo is already thinking ahead to Christmas cookies!
Speaking from direct experience, handmade jewelry is the way to go.
I'll be PM-ing you my address so you can mail me that gorgeous necklace when you get a chance, k? :P
Love it! Beautiful work!
