I'm back from Miami!

Not sure I'll ever go back there. People down there were not friendly or nice.

Also didn't like the dunes. I like my ocean side walkways to actually have a view of the ocean and not dunes.

I did alot of lying out in the sun and reading. We did go to a club one night and that was fun to see, but very expensive.

On the plane down there, the woman sitting in front of me was kicked off the plane. *gasp* She had asked the stewardess if they upgraded travel agents to first class, she said no they didn't have that policy anymore. The woman asked the stewardess's name (although I don't know why she didn't just read her name tag) and wrote it down. When (I think it was the head stewardess) asked if there was a problem, she said no and asked her for her name too. They both were a little nasty towards each other and then Captain came on and said we had a maintenance problem. *snort* Ends up she was the maintenance problem and security escorted her off the plane because the stewardesses were intimatated by her. What a way to start a vacation, eh?

Oh my.

I remember once on plane one of the passengers tapped the stewardess - wait he was a man, so make that the steward, yes? Anyway, tapped him on the shoulder, and he went balistic. Absolutely balistic.

I'm glad you are back. I've never been to South Beach, although dh has and wants to go back. He just liked looking at the girls.

How many books did you read down there?

*snort* Poor Paris Hilton wannabe.

So you DID go to the club? *grin*

I'm sure DH does, very beautiful people down there. But they're not all that friendly. Not one person responded back with a good morning, when I was running Friday morning.

I read 2 books. *grin* Night Whispers by Judith McNaught and Mr. Maybe by Jane Green.

Yes I went to a club and really enjoyed the male dancers that got up on the bar. *waggles eyebrows*

Miami is overrated and overpriced. I hated Miami and have vowed to never return to that shit hole city. Maybe next time you should fly out to California. *grin*

Ok, but do I have to bring the other girls? *grin*

Are they hott?

Wow. You can be kicked off a plane for asking someone's name? That seems a little ridiculous to me.

I have never been to Miami and doubt I will ever go.

I lurve Jane Green! Have you read her other books?

Welcome back!

Sorry to hear that it wasn't all you'd hoped.

What's funny is that if that woman really was a travel agent, she hasn't actually flown in a long, long time. First of all, cabin crew doesn't do upgrades, gate agents do. Secondly, if she were a good travel agent, she wouldn't have needed to ask, she'd have used a coupon. Agents can get upgrades/tree tickets based on how much they sell, so, if she were any good she'd have been sipping champagne instead of getting escorted off the plane.

What's *really* too bad is that she got booted trying to get up to first class - domestic first class isn't all that great anymore and certainly not worth a squaffle.

I don't like Miami much.

Welcome back!

On my plane to Russia, a man and woman behind be were fighting the whole way and the man threw coffee on the flight attendant. The rumor was that he'd be arrested when we landed, but he wasn't.

On my plane back home from Russia, a woman with 3 little kids below the age of 3 was sitting across the aisle from me. The man behind me threw up.

Is this just the South Beach area where it is not nice? I always thought it would be snobby. Way to trendy for this old lady.

I think all of Florida sucks except for the parts that are amusement parks. People are snotty and rude.

The duney beaches are different.

Stewards and stewardesses can get people thrown off of planes pretty quick these days, one of the byproducts of Homeland Security rules. They can bump you off if they feel "threatened" and you have no recourse. Never argue with a stew, lol.
