Dead Prom Queen

Please excuse the sweatshirt and backpack, I had to block her way this morning to get a pic. She had to run to catch the bus.

How did she die, you ask?

A Vampire got her. She has teeth she can stick in too, if she's feeling feisty.

Happy Halloween!!!

Beetlejuice!

During warm days of late winter and early spring, overwintering beetles in a wall space may become active. In their search for an exit, they may enter the home's living areas and become a nuisance. Warmer temperatures or lighting in the living areas may attract these active beetles as they search for an exit.

10 Trappers vs 1 Skunk

*snort* Nice title, eh?

This past weekend, DBF and I were up in the UP at another trapper's convention. It was cold! Oh so cold. The only time I was warm was when I went running Saturday morning and Saturday night when I practically sat on top of the bonfire. Which brings me to my story... Saturday night there we all sat around the bonfire. The trapping stories were flying around (and they're just as bad as fishermen LOL). I had Morgan with me, without a leash and I was pretty mellow with my Capt and Coke. Suddenly we hear a bunch of noise by one of the campers, something getting into the garbage. Everyone's first thought was Morgan, but no she was happily snoring away on my lap. It was a skunk! So this is what happens when you get a bunch of trappers against one little skunk. They all look at each other. *snort* Then they tried to "shoo" the skunk away. LMAO Finally one brave soul grabbed a can of wasp spray and went in to do battle. He prevailed, the skunk waddled off and we women all laughed at all the great trappers trying to shoo away a skunk.

Her First School Dance!

*thud*

Argggggg

*thud*

Ok, so DD's first school dance is tomorrow night. Help me come up with some "rules". You know. All those things you did at the school dances when you were bad bad bad kids. Yes I'm talking to you.

1. No close dancing.
2. No kissing.
3. No sneaking off somewhere just to "talk".
4. No letting some smelly little boy put his hands on your aras while slow dancing.
5.

Help! I know there's more. I'm old and tired today, can't think.

Darcy!!!!!!!!!!

Guess what I found last night? LOL That shirt that Dad gave me. I was wrong it didn't explode, I just thought it did because I haven't been able to fit in it in awhile. It's also not t-shirt material, more like polyester.

Oh and in case some of you were confused. Darcidoe is my sis. Everyone say "hi"!

Do you know what time it is?

It's Opening Season Weekend!!!! Woohooo yesterday was awesome. Football!!! Rah! Rah! Rah!

Course the best part is tonight when my Packers take the field for their first game. *crosses fingers* I hope Aaron does ok.

LMAO Did any of you watch the Lions game? *snort* Gawd they are awful! They made Atlanta's rookie QB look like a 10 year veteran. Their defense still sucks hairy nasty donkey balls. Doesn't TO realize we're all over him? His endzone celebration was *yawn* boring and predictable. Get a real life TO! OMH! Brady out for the season!?!?!?! That's huge!

*big grin* I love Football Season. My only dilemna this year is figuring out who's jersey I need to buy. *sniff* I can't very well wear one of my two #4's, now can I?

Who broke OT?

Was it you? YOU!!?!?

I think I'll blame Icey. Why the heck is he so into US politics all of a sudden?

Oh well, I hope you all take this down time to pick up The Other Side Of The Bridge and join the book discussion.

I've become overrun

by CUCUMBERS!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I pick a bag full everyday. I've been giving them away to everyone. The tomatoes are also starting to ripen. Which reminds me I still have to find a canner.

So anyone want some cucumbers? Do you have a recipe for them?

Oh and yes I know. *rolls eyes* Cucumbers are really a fruit. They also don't end in a vowel. *giggle*

I'm intrigued- A Poll

This poll was posted on a message board that I frequent, not not OT and yes I'm two timing you all.

How do you put on your bra? Are you a front clasper and then swing it around, or do you put it on and fasten in back?

Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen Acres

First, I forgot to take pics at the pool party. Sorry. So you'll just have to enjoy pics of my flowers and veggie garden.

I have lots of green tomatoes, the pepper plants have blooms and the spaghetti squash has fruit on it!!!! So excited.

Here's Farmer P's chickens, well some of his chickens. We have quite a few now. I just mainly took pics of the two big roosters. Aren't they pretty? We're getting 2-3 eggs a day now. Can't wait for the young hens to start laying. I'll have to sell the eggs then. *grin*

FINE!!! My Summer Concerts

I went to two outdoor concerts this past weekend. The end.

LOL Ok fine, I'll type more.

Friday night we went to see Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley. mmmmmmm Dierks, he's yummy. It rained! Why does it always rain on the country nights at Summer Cel? DD and I hid out in the portapotties, and DBF stood guard in the rain. What? He had my umbrella. Finally the rain left and the concert started. Both Luke and Dierks were good, Dierks was great though. He puts on a really really good concert.

Monday night we went to see Julianne Hough, James Otto and Miranda Lambert. Some of you will know the first name, she's a professional dancer and has been on Dancing With The Stars. She also has a country CD out. She was pretty iffy, her voice doesn't have any power and she didn't have enough songs to fill a set. James Otto's ego was wayyyyy toooooo big for his britches. Miranda rocked! Lordy she has a voice. Course I sing Gun Powder and Lead just like her. *grin*

Tuesday, June 24, 2008

Where's my camera?

Does anyone remember where I left my digital camera? I swear I set it down right there! Now it's gone. *pout* I was gonna take some pics of DD and my veggie garden.

Life is busy with baseball games, working in the yard and helping DBF's Dad move on. He's planned this huge 4th of July party. Bought cases of pop already and everything! I asked DBF last night, who's supposed to be at this party. He said probably just us! I told Ayla to invite her friends over for the pool party, so there will be more people. Anyone else want to come to the 4th of July pool party?

Favre trivia

When rookie Matt Leinart started for the Cardinals in Week 5 of 2006, he became the 196th other quarterback in the NFL to start in the same time frame that Brett Favre was the Packers' sole starting quarterback.

*sigh* Isn't he the greatest?

Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Ow ow ow ow ow

What the heck was I thinking? Apparently the 2 miles I ran at Girls On The Run practice wasn't enough. Came home and rototilled our 36 x 30 garden. ow ow ow ow my arms, shoulders, back and legs are soooooo sore.

So what veggies are easy to store for winter? I want stuff that I can either can easily or freeze right off the vine.

Someone please help!!!!

Please help me!!!! Tie my hands together so I can't type. Please?

Have you ever noticed that healthy food is more expensive then bad for you food? Ever notice how healthy food needs to be kept cold, like in a fridge unlike most bad for you food?

Where am I going with this you ask? Same place as usual. I don't believe a word that she types. Not.one.single.word.

I do agree with her tips, but how? Just how? Right now? Do those mini-fridges have a car charger?

Oh and I thought her weightloss came from stress and abuse and caused her to lose her job?

Stupid me *head thump*

I made all those Easter cards and then forgot to mail them. *sigh* If I mail them tomorrow they'll all be late. Should I mail them anyway?

I'm sore today, why oh why did I sign up to be a Girls on the Run coach? Especially since I don't like kids *grin*, especially tween girls. I wasn't fond of them when I was one and it's not any better now. Help me come up with something to say to this ONE girl that at every practice says loudly "I smell armpits, it smells like armpits." *sigh* What I really really want to do is take her out into the hall and shake her and tell her to stop being a nasty little snot girl, and then kick her off the team. How about "(insert name), body odor is a very natural thing; especially when you exercise as we are doing. Everybody sweats and everybody realizes their own body odor, what are you trying to say when you say that? To me it seems like you're either trying to be funny or you're trying to make other girls uncomfortable. Either way, neither is part of the promises we learned last week. Please be a little more respectful to everyone." How's that?

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Perfect Mad Gab Day!

Why? Why, because I had to go to the dentist this morning. My right cheek is still numb and I'm spilling chai all down my chin and talking funny.

Here's this week's phrase! Even if you've won before you can play, you just can't be the weiner for this week! Remember weiner's can get mail. *giggle*

Aid Are Coarse

Have fun and everyone have a day. Yes that's right, have a day. :)

I'm just sitting here...

They're out there, rambling some and seem to have a dejavu quality to them. Like I remember them from a movie or a book. Maybe I am remembering them from a book? Or maybe, she is for real.

*shakes head*

Garbage Poll

Okkkkk say you lost your job and home... no really, you did.

Would you rather go to DSS and get some help (I mean after all.... why else were you paying taxes all those years) or would you go dumpster diving for pop cans?

I know we shouldn't judge others without walking in their shoes.... but I need to believe the story of those shoes first. And frankly? I don't believe one capital letter of it. (or even small one)

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

Mad Gab Twosday!

Are you ready for another phrase? Remember, it's not what you see it's what you hear.

Parrot Own Elk Lip Hearse

Yes Frodis you can play, but you can't win this week. (hopefully you got some mail?)

I'll be out for awhile this morning, so I'll be back this afternoon to see if I have a weiner!

Mad Gab Tuesday

Anyone know how to play Mad Gab? No? Well you're all going to learn. Today is Mad Gab Tuesday, I'm going to put a Mad Gab phrase down here and you get to guess what the phrase really is. Now in the game of Mad Gab it's not what you see it's what you hear. So everyone put on your good listening ears and tell me what this phrase really is...

Well did ya?

Did ya get everything you wanted for Christmas? How about the cookies? Did everyone get both shipments of cookies? Let me know if I need to crack some heads. *giggle*

Christmas here was pretty nice. I got a bunch of new Packer shirts form my Mom! Yay!!! BF got me a nice fleece shirt, perfume and socks. I, unlike Estee, love socks. *giggle*

Then with a bunch of my Christmas money in my grubby little hands... I went to Target yesterday and finally bought a Dyson. Holey Crap!!! Does this thing suck! Anyone need anything vacuumed?

Friday, December 21, 2007

Merry Christmas!!!

I didn't have addresses for all of you, so if you didn't get a card... here's a couple virtual ones.

And if you want to be on the list for next year, shoot me an email.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season! *smooch*

One holiday that not a lot of us celebrate, I've been learning a bit about. The Solstice. Here's what one woman an my crafty board had to say about how she celebrates Solstice...

Yule is the beginning of the next turn of the wheel for me and so my ritual incorporates this feeling of beginning anew. I spend time meditating beforehand on what new things I want to bring into my life through education or experience and envision ways to do this.To honor the fact that the night of the solstice is the longest night of the year, I enjoy sitting in my house with all aritificial light sources extinguished while I do my meditation. When I am ready to proceed to the next step of actually writing down what my "resolutions" are, I turn on a soft light. This year I plan on using my tree. Then I make an amulet that contains my written down plans along with other special pieces that make it personal to me.

In case you're not sure "who" celebrates Yule and the Solstice, it's mainly Wiccans or Pagans. It's very interesting to read of all the symbols and rituals that began as Pagan and then were adopted by the church as their own.

So whatever YOU celebrate! Happy Holidays to you all. *smooch*

Update for Momma

OK, something happened so now I can blog. Happy? *grin*

I had to run to Walmart to return some items and pick up a Wii game for DD. Long line at the return counter, that's too be expected. No big deal.

I go back to the video game counter and wait.... and wait... a gentlemen with a video in his hand comes up to counter he also waits... and we're both scanning the aisles for the people that are supposed to be at the counter. Ahah! One comes around the corner and the gentleman (in a fun happy voice) says "Hi! You got some customers over here" Seriously, he said it with a smile and was very pleasant. The worker says to him and me "I'm not the only one working around here."

I'll let that sink in for a moment.

She said to us, customers waiting at the register... "I'm not the only one working around here."

I swear my jaw hit the ground. The gentleman was speechless. I finally recovered and said to her "Well you're the only one we've seen around here. Could you help us?"

Unfrickingbelievable!!!!

Funny Mail

*snort* I got mine last night. In the mail was an envelope inside another envelope, the outside envelope was from the Post Office. The inside envelope was a little worse for wear, and they apologized for it on the outside envelope. *grin* Did ya get all that? So I can't read the postmark to even get a clue as to where it came from. But! *snort* Somebody laminated a pic of my hubby and stuck him on a stick. *snort* I love it!

Advent Calendar

I normally buy the disposable $2.50 candy calendar every year. Well this year I found instructions to make my own. *big grin* But I'm out of time. *pout* So Target saved me, I saw this one in their ad this weekend. I'm going to pick it up at lunchtime.

I'll also grab a bag of Dove chocolates to fill it. Only the best for Christmas. *grin* I also need to grab a bag of doggie treats so I can fill Morgan's. I splurged and bought Morgan one last year at Pet Smart, I saved it though so I could just keep reusing it.

Ack forgot to ask! Do you have/use advent calendars? I grew up with them and DD has had one every year since she was 1.

Jeffffffff DunHAM

If you're going to be home tonight and need something to watch, Jeff Dunham is on Comedy Central tonight at 10. He is fricking hilarious! Gah! I swear I peed myself when we caught his act a month ago on TV.

If you do watch, you'll understand the title of this post and these following phrases (which I kept saying in the car ride to Canada and drove Carey nuts) (yeah I know not a far trip). *grin*

--- blue Prius
---I keeeeel you
---Are you my virgins?

*snort* I can't wait to watch it again tonight!

Prezzie ideas?

Heh, I got an email a couple weeks ago from P. He was trying to plan a party for my old friend K (his wife) for her 40th. He finally has sort of a plan *rolls eyes*. But anyway, I'm planning on going and am not sure what to get her. I haven't seen her in over a year (last time was for my birthday last year). I have no clue what she's into anymore.

So any ideas? What should I throw into a birthday bag?

How's this for the necklace?

Poop the pic is blurry. *sigh*

Canada Placeholder

I will do the post tonight. I promise. I'll drop DD off at cheerleading practice and then come home to do it, instead of staying at the field.

And practice was canceled, woohooooo!

Ok, Where do I start? Bravie was late.... fine her plane was. So I sat in the Wendy's parking lot across from the airport entrance and waited for her to finallllllllyyyyyy get here. I picked her up and we stopped at a gas station for drinks and snacks. Apparently in CA it's ok to strip in the parking lot and change clothes, so Bravie did so in MI. *grin* Luckily no arrests were made.

The actual drive to the border was nothing, two hours. We were in Canda (yes I know) before we knew it! Bravie was able to see why I didn't think we needed to bring a portable potty for her, there were trees everywhere. No deserts to be seen. *snort*

Did I mention I was coming down with a cold? No? Well I was, and I was dead tired by the time we got to the bridge out. Dead tired Breezy, can be also be crankybutt Breezy. *grin* I also need to explain the twoonie thingy.... see... here's how it went. I bought some stuff at a Canadian gas station, gave the chickee a $10. I got back all these coins. WTH! I squinted and saw that two of them had dollar on them.... ok... I need two more. I tried to explain this to the girl, but she wasn't buying it. I then tried to explain that I gave the girl a $10 and she owed me two more dollars to my so called faithful companion and she also rebuffed me. "they're two dollars" Yes I know! She owes me two more! *sigh* Did I mention the cold? dead tired? *grin* I now understand after getting my Twoonie lesson in the car, that she had given me the $4 in change I was expecting.

Lightsy and Duster Boy are supreme hosts, they really are. If you even get a change to go to Timbuctoo, you should really visit them. But be warned.... those Quebecians swear. Alot.

Here's some pics of the cottage. I just loved the area, reminded me lots of our cabin on the lake in the UP.

Friday we woke up and got all dolled up to go see the sights. *grin* Such beautiful sights! I really am a country girl. Here's a pic from the falls.

*huff* Lightsy got a hug and I got a choke hold!

The poutine was yummy! Even the cheese! Yes, I ate the cheese curds and liked them! As I said over on OT, I made them at home and even DD loved poutine.

Have I mentioned yet what a wonderful beautiful friendly smile Lightsy has yet? She does.

Friday night we were going to go to a local hockey game, but after the boat ride and making dinner.... we were late. So we all got in to our jammies and we played some card game that Lightsy made up. *grin* I did so catch her cheating at her own game and then she didn't even win! *giggle*

Saturday (my Birthday) we went fourwheeling up to this tower to look over the whole area. It was wonderful, the colors were either in their peak or darn close to it. The mountains and valleys were just covered in color. The fourwheeling was tons of fun too, was way better after I passed off Sanjana though. Lightsy is a little speed demon and I thought I was going to lose him a couple times. *grin* Also made me miss it, I think I need to buy a used one to play on.

Here's some pics from that ride.

I think Bravie is pointing out a polar bear or something. *rolls eyes* She's not real good naming animals.

Bravie and Lightsy did make me a lemon meringue pie for my birthday and it was wonderful. *smooch*

What did we eat.... oh duh! Saturday night we did a raclette (sp?) for dinner. Was tons of fun! While Bravie and Lightsy made the pie, I cut up chicken, veggies and some yummy cheese for us to use on the raclette. (Bravie and Lightsy cut up some stuff too. *grin*) The raqlette was basically a fondue styled grill. The grill sat in the middle of the table and you just threw whatever you wanted to eat on. It also had these little trays on the bottom that you could make cheesy garlic bread, or melt cheese and stuff on your cut up baked potato. It was lots of fun!

After dinner a couple friends of Lightsy's and Dusterboy's came out and visited with us. They were very very nice. I sure hope we didn't embarrass Lightsy. *grin* We tried to be on our best behaviour while the company was there.

The drive home on Sunday was full of football. Yes football. I have Sirius. We listened to both of our games.

Monday I had to take Bravie back to the airport. *pout* Before I did though, I showed her Lake Michigan and around my little town. *grin* I tried to tell her before I was a hick.

If asked to, I would drive up there again in a heartbeat. Lightsy was too wonderful not too go back to. I love her. *sobs*

Oh and Lightsy? did I mention that BF has a good friend of his in Barrie? They go hunting together all the time.

Happy Birthday Bro!

Today my baby brother turned 30. I know he wasn't real enthused about turning 30, and I'm guessing that turning 30 in Iraq didn't help. *sigh* The good news? I received an email from him today saying he should be back in the states on the 25th. Woooooooohoooooooooo!!!!!

Super Star!!!!

*strikes super star pose*

With the help of some liquid courage, I did Karoake Friday night. *grin* I sang "All My Friends Say" by Luke Bryan. *big grin* I was shaking soooooo bad. But I did it. My BF was so happy and proud. He's been trying for months now to get me to get up and sing. He sings just about every weekend when we go out. But I've been chicken. *bawk bawk*

Then Saturday night? Without the help of any shots, I got up again and sang "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood. *snort* I didn't shake quite as bad that time.

Busy Randoms

1. Seems like I have something going on after work every single day for the past two weeks. I can't wait until I can sit on my couch and veg after work.

2. This weekend is my real last chance to do any heavy cleaning before Carey is here. Ack!

3. It's hard to clean when the house still isn't all put away, ya know? I want to move the computer into the extra bedroom... but it's been a dumping ground and needs to be cleaned out first. *sigh* I also want to get the futon set up in there. *sigh*

4. Washer still isn't hooked up. We blew out the water lines Saturday and a ton of crud came out, but I guess not it all. We still have very low cold line water pressure. *sigh* I hope he runs the new lines this weekend. But I'm not going to hold my breathe.

5. DD and I will be in Chicago next weekend celebrating her birthday (which is the 26th). (Hence why THIS weekend is my final chance to power clean.)

6. I think I may buy a new suitcase before next weekend. I need one.... I just might.

7. I also may go shopping at Penny's this weekend (if I finish my chores at home) and bring Pooh's list with me. *grin*

8. I have to pee.

9. I love the number 9, it's my favorite number.

T-shirt and Scratch-n-Sniff

I got my T-shirt!!!! Woooohoo, thanks Momma! I got an authentic Gilley's t-shirt. hmmmmmm wonder if John will give me some bullriding tips. *grin*

I went to my Stampin' Up dealer's house Friday night and we made 4 scratch-n-sniff items. *giggle* I have a wedding card with a cake on it that smells like vanilla, a pumpkin box that smells like pumpkin, a beautiful card with grapes on it that yep smells like grape and a happy sunshine card that smells like orange. *grin* They were lots of fun to make. I think my Dealer drank a little too much wine though, she kept smelling her grape card and licking the grape koolaid off her fingers. *snort*

I'm really not sure what to do with all my hobby stuff. This new house is so small. *pout*

Somber event

Yesterday during my lunch hour, I stood outside our building with all my coworkers and fellow American workers from businesses next door. We watched as a hero came home.

It was a very sad, very real thing. Our troops are still dying in Iraq. Please do what you can to let our government know... we've had enough loss. Start bringing our troops home.

If you want to read about the Sgt. Scheibner, then click on the above link. There's also more stories about his death, but I will warn you... if you cry easily don't read the article from yesterday where they interview his Mom and how she was marking off the days until he was safe.

Good News/Bad News

The bad news first.

Went shopping for shoes with DD last night. She now wears a size 8 in women's shoes. *sigh* Why can't she stop growing? Oh and also. *whispers in case any boys come around* She only has one bra that fits around her but she can't wear it cause her boob keeps popping out. *sigh* Are you sure no one out there wants a preteen girl? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

The good news.

I wear a size 8 shoe, so I can wear all 4 of the new shoes she picked out last night. *grin*

Be Prepared

I will be finding my camera cord and posting pics of Dolly soon. She is soooo cute and lovable. I want her. Poor Morgan was getting very very jealous. She sniped at Dolly a few times. By the last day we were up there though she was playing with her.

We're almost done with back to school shopping, I think all DD needs are shoes. How is everyone else doing with the shopping?

Moose Fest

This weekend is the annual free concert from the local country radio station. Moose Fest!!! *giggle*

Here's the line up:
Sweet LouBranded
Drew Davis Band
Catherine Britt
Lee Brice
Carolina Rain
Jason Michael Carroll
Ty Herndon
Heh, the only ones I know are Jason Michael Carrol and Ty Herndon. Hopefully it will be a good time. Last year, DD and I went down for a little while. But it was too hot and the lines for food and drink were way too long and slow, so we didn't stay long.
Do you have a local radio station that puts on free concerts?

Welcome to the Big Show

Isn't he huge? P (the girl in front of him) couldn't figure out where to squeeze in at. He said, "Just stand in front of me." *snort* She's tall, so she wasn't used to someone being able to stand behind her. *snort*
This pic was taken at a resaurant in South Beach Miami a couple months ago. My hair is much darker now.

Ok. How about this. I'm going up north to retrieve DD from her grandmother this weekend. What yummy foods should I buy and bring home with me?

Pasty? mmmmmm I bought some two weeks ago when I brought DD up there
Trenary Toast? really not my thing since I don't drink coffee, but everyone else likes it.
Smoked Fish? mmmmmmmmmmmm

If you live away from where you grew up, are there foods that you miss? Do you buy some when you go visit?

Missed Taylor

DD, BF and I had tickets to the country concert at Summer Celebration last night. BF ended up having to work late and DD and I waited awhile for him before taking off for the concert. We missed Taylor Swift. She was to take the stage at 6:30, we got down there around 7:15 and she was done already. *gasp* (I heard later that they pulled her from the stage when they saw lightening.) DD and I gorged on carni food... well ok DD gorged on carni food. I only had one basket of deep fried veggies (cauliflower, mushroom and onion rings).

It started raining and the wind was blowing 45-50 miles an hour! But... then it stopped and then sun came out.

Rodney Atkins was great, dang he does have a very nice voice. He brought out his little boy for the end of "Watchin' You". awwwww that was sweet.

Phil Vassar was his usual energetic self. He didn't do any flips this concert, but he did run all over the stage when he wasn't playing the piano. I knew every.single.song he sang. I love concerts like that.

Saturday night I'll be seeing INXS! Woohooooooo!!!! And the best part? Kimmer will be with me!!! Wooohoooooooo!!!!

I'm back from Miami!

Not sure I'll ever go back there. People down there were not friendly or nice.

Also didn't like the dunes. I like my ocean side walkways to actually have a view of the ocean and not dunes.

I did alot of lying out in the sun and reading. We did go to a club one night and that was fun to see, but very expensive.

On the plane down there, the woman sitting in front of me was kicked off the plane. *gasp* She had asked the stewardess if they upgraded travel agents to first class, she said no they didn't have that policy anymore. The woman asked the stewardess's name (although I don't know why she didn't just read her name tag) and wrote it down. When (I think it was the head stewardess) asked if there was a problem, she said no and asked her for her name too. They both were a little nasty towards each other and then Captain came on and said we had a maintenance problem. *snort* Ends up she was the maintenance problem and security escorted her off the plane because the stewardesses were intimatated by her. What a way to start a vacation, eh?

Would it be rude?

I'm going to South Beach Thursday with 5 girlfriends. Would it be rude of me to not do the clubbing scene at night? I started packing last night and I have nothing to wear and no time to shop. *sigh*

I just want to go and lie on the beach all day. *pout* I just want to relax, totally relax for a few days.

*pout* I do have hootche shirts, but nothing to wear with them. If I happen to find a 1/2 hour to go shopping, what should I look for?

Decluttering.... again

I'm probably moving again this summer, so I've started looking at the mess of boxes in the basement that never got unpacked. I'm guessing that I don't need the stuff in those boxes. What should I do with them? I really don't think I want to have a garage sale. I know some of the boxes contain Disney VCR movies and Care Bear stuff. Should I just bring that stuff to Goodwill? Anyone want it?

Anyone want to come to my house and help me? *grin* We can have a garage sale and I'll let you have the proceeds. *grin*

Safe in Iraq

Isn't that like an oxymoronic statement?

Just a quick note, to let you know I am doing fine. It is very hot over here. All I do is just work and sleep. But all is fine. I will let you know more when I have more free time.

That message was waiting in my email box this morning from my brother. He'll be over ther for atleast 4 months.

Let's hope everyone's brothers/uncles/nephews/sons/sisters/aunts/nieces/daughters come home safely.

Two gifts?

Fine! Ya whiners! Here's my update, it's a question.

Am I supposed to get two gifts for my ex-niece that is getting married this summer? One at the Bachelorette party and one at the Bridalshower? The party is this weekend, they are planning on my being the one to pick the bars and stuff. Yeesh!

DD is in the wedding and they've asked me to make the bridal parties necklaces.... which I still need to find out which necklace they were talking about.

Any whooooooo, two gifts? Or just a gift at the Bridalshower?

Operator Game

My question came from Momma...

Courteous

1 : marked by polished manners, gallantry, or ceremonial usage of a court
2 : marked by respect for and consideration of others

Charming people focus on the other person. Rarely are they themselves the topic of discussion. Be nice to others. If someone is excited or wants to discuss a subject that you have no interest in or have a negative interest in; say nothing. (Granted this would be in relation to entertainment issues, not debating/argument issues.)

In most cases, arguments are meant to be persuasive. Take a moment to think about that. How persuasive is an argument that automatically makes the other person wrong? Are they going to be receptive to your point of view? What are you really trying to accomplish by directly challenging another person?

Avoid talking down to people. If you're never wrong, you're always wrong. You have to give ground occasionally or risk losing the respect of people you're arguing with.

I think someone needs to look up being courteous again. They're a little confused.

Insert Kitten pics here

I promise to do that tonight. Do you know how hard it is to get pictures of kittens? They really are not interested in sitting still. NOT AT ALL.

Everyone is getting along well. Morgan likes her new chew toy. *giggle*

Only other news in Breezyworld is that I have a horrible head cold and tax season will be over Wednesday. Do you have your taxes in? Tomorrow is the deadline!

Maybe Easter Kitty

One of these little beauties might come home with me this weekend. These are the two females, there's also a couple grey males and black male.

I love the tortoise one's face, and I love the little patches of orange on the light grey one. I'll probably let DD decide which one.

Which one do you want?

Bitter Old Hag

Whatever happend to the old adage, "If you can't say anything nice. Don't say anything at all."?

Maybe it's not so much that as it is; keep your condescending, self promoting, self righteous spew to yourself. Just because you think that the sky is really a light blue, does NOT mean the peeps that think the sky is a bright blue are wrong. Being strong willed and standing by your convictions, does not mean being nasty/snarky/speak down to those that have different thoughts then your own. Especially when it has to do with freaking entertainment things.... yeesh can we get any more higher on that horse? It's all about the delivery of your opinions... your delivery sucks. IMHO

This post is sponsered by Orville Redenbacher, have some today.
